LG Stylo 6 Hard reset without password/factory reset buttons q730

When you’re locked out on LG Stylo 6 due to a forgotten password/pin/pattern, it doesn’t let you power off/restart the phone without unlocking the screen.

So, how to hard reset the phone without a password? In such a case, we need to force restart the phone to access the recovery mode. The recovery mode is used to restore the phone when locked out.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible the bypass the Stylo 6 lock screen without a reset.

Let’s see how to restore the LG Stylo 6 back to the working state when locked out –

How to reset LG Stylo 6 without password/pin code/pattern lock

I’m locked out on my Stylo 6 and I don’t remember the lock screen password.

After multiple failed attempts only the wait time keeps increasing. You don’t get an account recovery option in the form of “Forgot password”.

So, now our only option is to factory reset the phone using Recovery Mode.

To put our Stylo 6 into recovery mode we need to power it off.

It’s not letting me turn off the phone without unlocking the screen.

The same this happened when I tried to restart my Stylo 6.

Now, our last resort is a Force Restart.

Press & hold the volume down & power keys until the phone restarts.

During the bootup when LG Stylo 6 logo shows up, release the power button for a moment and hold it again. Don’t leave the volume down key.

Keep holding both the keys until you reach the “Factory Data Reset” page as visible in the below screenshot.

We are in the Recovery Mode. Let’s hard reset the phone using the volume rocker and power button.

Move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume button. Now tap the Power key once.

Again go down from No to Yes and tap the power key to reset your Stylo 6.

The phone is getting erased. This process takes a few minutes.

After a while, we have reached the “Welcome” screen.

Let’s complete the device setup.

Hit the “Forward button” to move ahead.

Click “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.

Now, connect your Stylo 6 to a Wifi network.

It’s checking for updates. The phone stays on this screen for a minute or two.

Hit “Don’t copy” on the following screen as shown above.

Now, we are on the screen lock verification page. Let’s choose the option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.

This brings me to the Google verification screen.

It’s asking for the last synced Google account. Enter your Google account credentials and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup wizard.

However, if you don’t remember the last synced Google account, then follow the below hack to bypass the Google verification on Stylo 6 –

How to bypass Google Verification on LG Stylo 6 without computer 2021

To bypass FRP on Stylo 6, we need to pull out the keyboard.

Tap the blank space – “Email or Phone” to bring out the keyboard.

Now, click the “small keyboard icon” at the bottom-right corner.

A “Default keyboard” window appears on the screen. Select “Settings” to proceed further.

On the Manage keyboards screen, choose the 1st option – “Gboard”.

On the following page, tap the “3 dots icon” and select “Help & Feedback”.

Now, it brings us to the “Support” screen.

Touch the first option – “Delete or Disable Apps on Android”.

On the following page, look for – “Tap to go to application settings” and click on it.

This will bring you to the “App Info” screen.

Scroll down and tap “Settings”.

Now hit “Open” to launch the Settings app.

On the Settings page – choose “Fingerprints” and then hit “Next”.

Now, we have reached the “Select Screen Lock” page.

Let’s use this screen to add a new PIN, Pattern, or Password. This new lock will replace the old lock.

I’ve picked the PIN option.

Enter the PIN twice and hit “OK”. I’ve set up 1234 as the screen PIN.

A confirmation text flashes on the screen – “Screen lock has been changed”.

Now, we need to go back and use this new PIN to bypass the Google verification.

Tap the back button to reach the first page.

We are on the Welcome screen.

Tap the forward arrow to proceed and click “Next” on the following page.

Select “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” screen.

It directly brings us to the “Verify your account” screen. The screen lock verification page is missing. We need the PIN verification screen to bypass the Google account.

Let’s hard reset our phone to restore the “Verify PIN” screen.

To hard reset the Stylo 6 we need to power it off.

Long-press the power key and choose “Power off” as shown above.

Now, press the volume down + power key to turn on the phone.

When “LG Stylo 6” shows up on the screen, release the power button and hold it again. (Don’t release the volume down button).

Now, keep holding both the keys until you reach the Recovery Mode.

The Factory data reset page is the Recovery Mode.

Go down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume button. Now hit the power key once.

Again go down from No to Yes and tap the Power button.

After the factory reset, we are once again on the “Welcome” screen.

Click the forward button and tap “Next” on the following screen.

Hit “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” screen.

This time it brings us to the “Verify PIN” screen. We are going to use the PIN we added a few steps ago.

Enter the PIN 1234 and click “OK”.

The PIN verification is successful. We have bypassed the Google account verification.

Use the “Skip” button on the Google sign-in page to proceed further.

Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.

Click “OK” on the following page.

We are now on the last page of the setup wizard i.e. the “Legal Documents” screen.

Tick the “I agree” checkbox and tap “Done” to complete the setup wizard.

We have successfully landed on the LG Stylo 6 home screen by doing a hard reset without the password.
