How to unlock LG Stylo 6 without password, pattern lock, pin code /LG Stylo 6 password reset
I’m locked out on my LG Stylo 6. I don’t remember the lock screen password.
Let’s try to bypass the lock screen without reset.
I’m trying with different passwords, in the hope of an account recovery option in the form of “Forgot Password” or “Google account sign-in”.
After every few failed attempts, only the wait time increased.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to unlock the Stylo 6 screen lock without reset.
Now, to factory reset the phone we need to power it off.
It’s not allowing me to turn off the phone. The screen shows an error – “Unlock the phone to power off”.
The same thing happened when I tried to restart my Stylo 6.
Our last resort is a force restart.
Press and hold the volume down and power keys until the phone restarts.
During the reboot, when LG Stylo 6 logo appears on the screen, release the power button and hold it again.
Don’t leave the volume down key.
Now, keep holding both the keys until you reach the “Factory Data Reset” page.
This is the Recovery Mode. It is used to hard reset the phone when locked out.
We need to use the volume rocker and power keys. The touch doesn’t work in this mode.
Tap the volume down button to move from “No(Exit)” to “Yes”. Now, click the power button once.
Again move down from No to Yes & click the power key to reset your Stylo 6.
The phone data is getting wiped. This process takes a few minutes.
After the reset, I’ve reached the “Welcome” page.
Let’s click the forward button to complete the device setup.
Hit “Next” when you reach the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, connect your Stylo 6 to a Wifi network.
The phone is checking for updates. We need to wait for a while.
Afterward, I’ve reached the “Copy apps & data” screen. Choose “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
It brings me to the password verification page. I don’t know the lock screen password so I clicked on -“USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
This time we are on Google’s “Verify your account” screen. To get past this screen, we need to sign in with the previously synced Google account.
Sign in with your account and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup wizard.
