LG Stylo 6 lock screen bypass – forgot password, pin, pattern q730

Are you locked out on your LG Stylo 6 due to the forgotten password, pattern, or PIN? Don’t worry, you’re in safe hands.

First of all, let’s try to restore our phone without doing a reset. The factory reset wipes the internal storage data. Let’s try to get back to the home screen without losing precious data.

This method should work on all the LG Stylo 6 variants i.e. Stylo 6 Metro lmq730mm, Boost Mobile  lmq730tm3, T-Mobile lmq730tmw, Spectrum lmq730qm6, Cricket lmq730am4, US Cellular lmq730qm0, Verizon lmq730vmw & Factory Unlocked lmq730qm7.

I’m stuck on the LG Stylo 6 password lock screen as visible in the above screenshot.

Let’s try to unlock the screen.

I don’t remember the correct password. After 5 wrongs attempts, it says “Try again in 30 seconds”.

I kept on trying but only the wait time increased.

I’m hoping to get an account recovery option in the form of “Forgot Password” or “Google Account”.

Even after 50 tries, I didn’t get an account recovery option. The wait time increased to 120 seconds.

So, one thing is clear, there is no way to bypass LG Stylo 6 lock screen without reset. We need to power off the phone and hard reset using the volume down & power button.

 

To reset the phone using hard keys, we need to power off the phone.

It’s not letting me power off the phone without unlocking the screen.

It’s not allowing to even restart the phone. It says “Unlock the phone to restart”.

We cannot waste time to drain the battery to 0%.

The only option left is to force restart the phone. During the restart, we are going to use the volume down and power button to enter the recovery mode.

Let’s see how to do this –

Press and hold the volume down & power button to force restart your LG Stylo 6.

During the restart, as soon as LG Stylo 6 appears on the screen, release the power button for a moment and hold it again. (Don’t release the volume down button).

Keep holding both the keys until your phone is on the “Factory data reset” screen i.e. Recovery mode.

Use the volume down button to move down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes”. Press the power key to select “Yes”.

 

Again move down from “No” to “Yes” and hit the power button to initiate the factory reset process.

The phone data will get erased during the reset.

This brings us to the “Welcome” screen.

Move ahead using the forward arrow.

Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.

Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Mobile Data.

Hit “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” page.

 

Once again it’s asking for the Screen lock password. This time we get an alternate option as well – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”. Select this option to proceed further.

Now we are on the “Google Verification screen”. It’s asking for the last synced Google account on this device. If you remember the Google account credentials, enter it now and complete the setup wizard by following the on-screen prompts.

In case, you don’t remember the Google sign-in details, follow the below hack to bypass the Google FRP (Factory Reset Protection) lock screen on LG Stylo 6.

How to bypass Google verification on LG Stylo 6

Tap the “Email or phone” blank field to bring out the keyboard.

 

Select the “Keyboard icon” on the bottom-right corner as marked in the above screenshot.

The “Default keyboard” pop-up shows up on the screen.

Hit “Settings” to proceed further.

On the Manage keyboards page, select the first keyboard i.e. Gboard.

Now click the “3 dots” icon on the top-right corner and select “Help & feedback”.

Now, we are on the Support page –

Tap the “Describe your issue” blank field and type delete

 

Select the first search result i.e. “Delete or disable apps on Android”.

On the next page, select “Tap to go to Application Settings”.

This opens the App info page.

Scroll down and select “Google”.

We are now on Google’s app info page. Hit “Open” to launch the Google app.

Hit “NO THANKS” to get access to the Google search bar.

Type Settings and select the “Settings app (with the icon)”  as shown in the above screenshot.

We are now in the Settings app.

Select “Fingerprints” and hit “NEXT” on the fingerprints page.

This brings us to the “Select screen lock” page –

We get to add a screen lock pattern, PIN, or Password. This new lock will replace the old screen lock. 

Add a PIN, Pattern, or password and make note of it.

 

I’m adding an easy to remember screen PIN 1234

A confirmation text flashes at the bottom of the screen – “Screen lock has been changed”.

We are going to use this newly created screen PIN to bypass the Google verification screen. 

Now keep going back using the back button. We need to reach the “Welcome” page of the setup wizard.

We are once again on the Welcome page.

Use the forward arrow to move ahead.

Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.

Hit “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps and data” page.

This brings us to the “Verify PIN” screen.

We are going to add the screen PIN we just created in the last step i.e. 1234

 

 

As we entered the correct PIN lock, we get the “Skip” option on the Google sign-in page.

You can also add a Google account, the last synced account is not needed anymore.

 

Accept Google services terms and conditions.

Hit “OK” on the “Review additional apps” page.

Tick the “I agree” checkbox on the “Legal documents” page, and hit “DONE” to land on the Stylo 6 home screen.

We have successfully bypassed the LG Stylo 6 lock screen.
