TCL A3 is an entry-level budget smartphone for Tracfone and its MVNOs running on Android 11 out of the box.
In this post, we are going to use the latest and easiest 2022 method to bypass the Google account verification on TCL A3 without a computer, SIM Card, Bluetooth device, or any app.
The factory reset protection (FRP) doesn’t let you complete the device setup after a hard reset. You need to sign in with the previously synced Google account.
If you don’t remember the Google account then follow the below troubleshooting guide to reach the TCL A3 home screen in a few minutes –
I was locked out on my TCL A3 because I forgot the lock screen password.
To bypass the lock screen I did a hard reset using the volume down + power keys via recovery mode.
After the reset, I reached the “Hi There” screen as visible in the above screenshot.
Let’s begin the device setup. Click the “START” button to move ahead.
Now, we need to connect our device to a Wifi network.
After connecting to the internet, it’s getting ready. Let’s wait for a while.
The next page is “Copy apps & data”. Let’s tap “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
Now, I’m stuck on the password verification screen. I either need to enter the correct password or the previously synced Google account.
I do not remember the Google account credentials. Let’s use the latest 2022 hack to reach the TCL A3 home screen as follows –

To bypass the Google lock, go back from the “Google – Verify your account” screen to the first page of the setup wizard.
Hit the back button to reach the “Hi There” screen.
Now, tap the “Emergency Call” button.
Hit “EMERGENCY INFORMATION” two times to open this page.
Now, click the “edit icon” at the top-right corner.
On the following screen, select “Name” and then tap the “Profile icon”. You can refer to the above screenshot.
Pick the lower option from the dropdown menu i.e. – “Choose an image”.
This will bring you to the “Recent” page.
Hit the “3 bar icon” at the top-left corner.
Long-press the “Drive” option to land on the “App Info” screen.
Now, select the 2nd option – “Permissions”.
On the “App Permissions” screen, click the search icon at the top-right corner and type settings in the search bar.
Now, scroll down to the bottom and click on “Settings – App Info” as shown above.
Click “OPEN” to launch the Settings app.
On the Settings page, Go to “Apps” > “VIEW ALL 40 APPS”.
Now, open the “Android Setup” app.
Click the “FORCE STOP” button.
Hit “OK” to confirm your action.
Now, go one step back and open the Google Play Services app.
Hit the “DISABLE” button to turn off Google Play Services.
Click “DISABLE APP” when prompted.
Now, tap the back button 2 times to reach the settings page.
Go 2 steps back from the App Info screen.
Now, open “Accessibilty” > “Accessibilty Menu”.
Turn on the “Accessibility Menu Shortcut”.
Click “ALLOW” when prompted.
The accessibility menu shortcut is visible at the bottom-right corner. We are going to use it in the next step.
Now, use the back button to reach the first page.
We have reached the “Hi There” screen.
Open the accessibility menu with the shortcut button located at the bottom-right corner.
Now, click on “ASSISTANT”.
When the Google Assistant window opens, tap the voice command button at the bottom-left corner. You can refer to the above screenshot.
It says – Google Play Services Required”. Click on “Settings” to enable Google Play Services.
Hit the “Enable” button to turn on Google Play Services and then go back to the “Hi There” screen.
Click “START” to move ahead.
When you reach the “Copy apps & data” page, click the back button once.
This will bring you to the “Connect to Wifi” screen.
There is a new option – “Set up offline” at the bottom-left corner.
Click on “Set up offline” then tap “CONTINUE”.
It brings me to the “Date & Time” screen. We have successfully bypassed the Google account verification on TCL A3.
Hit the “Next” button to proceed further.
Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.
Hit the “Skip” button on the “Set Screen Lock” page to move ahead. We can add a screen lock later.
Now, accept the Tracfone & TCL terms and conditions.
Finally, we have landed on the TCL A3 home screen thus bypassing the Google account without a PC.
Now, open the Settings app to disable the accessibility menu shortcut.
Go to “Accessibility” > “Accessibility Menu”.
Turn off the accessibility menu shortcut as shown above.
