The earlier LG Stylo 6 FRP bypass exploit is fixed by Google in the latest August 2021 security update. During the FRP Bypass, after adding a new screen lock it skips the screen lock verification page. It directly takes us to the Google Verification screen.
In this post, we are going to use the updated method to bypass the Google account on LG Stylo 6 as follows –
After doing a hard reset using the volume down & power keys on my Stylo 6, I’ve landed on the “Welcome” screen. This is the first page of the setup wizard.
Hit the “Forward button” to proceed further.
Click “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, we need to connect our Stylo 6 to the internet.
My phone is connected to the “Home Wifi” network.
After getting connected to the Wifi, it’s checking for updates.
The phone stays on this screen for while.
The next screen is “Copy apps & data”. Hit “Don’t copy” to skip this page.
This brings us to the screen lock verification page. It’s asking to verify the lock screen pattern.
I don’t remember the pattern. I’ll select the 2nd option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
Now, we have reached the “Verify your account” page. To verify the ownership of the device we need to sign in with the previously synced Google account.
Let’s use the latest hack to get past this FRP lock as follows –
How to bypass Google verification on LG Stylo 6 running on August 2021 Security Update
Tap the blank space – “Email or phone” to pull out the keyboard.
On the keyboard, there is a small “keyboard icon” at the bottom-right corner. Tap on it.
NOTE: If your LG Stylo 6 don’t have the small keyboard icon at the bottom, please use the alternate Bluetooth method to bypass the Google account as per the below link –
A “Default keyboard” window appears on the screen as shown above.
Go to “Settings” and select “Gboard”.
We are now on the Gboard Settings page.
Tap the “3 dots icon” at the top-right corner and choose “Help & Feedback”.
Click the first option on the “Support” page i.e. “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the following page, look for – “Tap to Go to Application settings” and hit this option.
This will bring us to the “App Info” page.
Scroll down on this page and choose “Settings”.
Now, tap “Open” to launch the Settings app.
We are now in Settings.
Click “Fingerprints” and then “Next”.
Now, it brings us to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
Let’s use this page to add a new screen lock. We are going to use this new lock to bypass the Google account.
I’m adding an easy to remember PIN 1234
Enter the PIN twice and tap “OK” to confirm.
A confirmation message appears on the screen – “Screen lock has been changed”.
Now, let’s go back and use this screen lock PIN to bypass the google account.
Go back using the back button until you reach the “Welcome” screen.
We are on the “Welcome” page.
Tap the “Forward Arrow” and then tap “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, Hit “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” page.
After the new security update, the screen lock verification page is missing. It directly takes me to the Google Verification page.
So, we need to hard reset the phone via the Recovery Mode and then use the new PIN 1234 to bypass the Google account
To access the recovery mode, we need to power off the phone. Long-press the power button and choose “Power off” as shown above.
Once the phone is off, press the Volume Down + Power button to turn on the phone.
As soon as “LG Stylo 6” appears on the screen, release the power button and hold it again. Don’t leave the volume down key.
Keep holding both the keys until you reach the “Factory data reset” screen.
We are now in Recovery Mode.
The touch doesn’t work in recovery mode. Use the volume rocker & power keys to hard reset the phone.
Go down from “No (Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume down key. Now, press the power key once.
Repeat the steps.
Again move down from “No” to “Yes” and press the “Power button” to begin the factory data reset.
The phone is getting erased. We need to wait for a few minutes.
After a while, we have reached the “Welcome” screen.
Tap the “Forward button” to proceed.
Hit “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
Now, connect your Stylo 6 to the internet.
It takes a while to reach the “Copy apps & data” page. Hit “Don’t copy” to move ahead.
This time we get the screen lock verification page.
Enter the PIN we set up a few steps ago i.e. 1234 and tap “OK”.
We have successfully bypassed the Google account. The “Verify your account” page is now showing anymore.
Tap the “Skip” option on the Google sign-in page. If you wish, you can add a Google account, the previously synced account is not needed anymore.
Accept Google services terms and conditions in the next step.
Tap “OK” on the “Review additional apps” page.
Finally, tick the “I agree” checkbox and hit “Done” to finish the setup wizard.
We have successfully reached the LG Stylo 6 home screen thus bypassing the Google account.
Let’s check for the latest LG Stylo 6 software update.
Go to “Settings” > “System” as shown above.
Now, click on “Update center” > “System Update”.
You can see my LG Stylo 6 is running the latest software with the August 2021 security update.
