There are at least 10 different variants of LG Stylo 6 based on the different carriers.

The different Stylo 6 models are Boost Mobile lm-q730tm3, MetroPCS lmq730mm, Cricket Q730am, T-Mobile q730tmw, US Cellular q730qm0, Verizon q730vmw, Xfinity Mobile q730qm5, Spectrum q730qm6, Sprint q730tm3 & Factory Unlocked q730qm7.

Will LG Stylo 6 get Android 11 Update?

LG is quite notorious in terms of offering software updates. My Stylo 4 MetroPCS is still running on Android 8. Even the entry-level Aristo 3 is updated to Android 9.

As far as LG smartphones are concerned, as of today, only LG Velvet is updated to Android 11. The Android 11 update is in the pipeline for other high-end LG devices such as V60, Gx8 Thinq & even the newest Wing.

So, we shouldn’t keep our hopes very high for Stylo 6. It came with Android 10 out of the box. Looking at the Software update history of popular LG phones, we can expect at least one major update from Stylo 6.

However, this dream can come true only if LG remains in the smartphone industry. LG’s cellphone division is making a loss for the past few years. The rumors are going on that  LG will stop making phones altogether. Most probably we are going to hear an official update from LG on Monday, April 5, 2021, in this regard.

If LG quits then the Stylo 7 is out of the question and the Stylo 6 Android 11 update looks like a far distant dream.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

LG Stylo 6 Automatic System Updates

To keep your Stylo 6 software updated all the time, you can enable the automatic system update settings in the “Developer Options”.

Open the Settings app and choose “System”.

Now, Go to the “Developer Options” page and turn on “Automatic system updates” as shown above.

This way, the OTA system update is downloaded over Wifi & installs automatically when you restart your phone.

  1. Constantly acts up.
Keyboard acts stupid and have to lock and reopen the screen.
Can’t xfer apps to SD Card.
Screen constantly locks up and then acts like it is being touched when it isn’t.
Had to factory reset it and lose everything because of this, and it started up again 3 days later.

    Horrible phone.

  2. Phone worked great for the first 2 to e days. Lags really bad on Xfinity wIfi even though it the wifi is excellent. The phone’s preferred band is 2G & 3G for my TMobile. Come on now we are already on 5G and can’t get 4G or even 4GLte. Its a shame. My almost 5 year old LG K20 plus gets 4g LTE and Volte. No wonder LG went out of business. Also the For the price of $299 other Phones have a128 gb and snapdragon 730 processor

  3. Don’t like it. There is no back button so the slightest touch near the sides backs you out of whatever you are doing. When you are actually trying to back out it becomes a battle.
