Every LG Android smartphone receives at least one major update during its life cycle & the same is the case with Stylo 5. A few months ago it was updated to Android 10. It was launched with Android Pie in 2019
In this new update, the old FRP bypass exploit is fixed by Google. Now, we need to use a new method to bypass the lock screen if locked out due to a forgotten PIN, Pattern, or Password.
In this post, we are going to learn how to bypass the LG Stylo 5 lock screen –
How to bypass LG Stylo 5 Lock Screen without Reset Android 10 /Forgot Password, PIN, Pattern /Locked Out
I’m stuck on my LG Stylo 5 lock screen. I don’t remember the screen lock password.
Let’s try to bypass the lock screen without doing a reset.
In the hope of getting a recovery option in the form of “Forgot Password” or “Google account sign in”, I kept on trying with different passwords.
Even after multiple failed attempts, only the wait time increased.
I tried up to 50 times but it was a waste of time. It’s not possible to recover LG Stylo 5 without a reset when locked out.
To factory reset the phone, we need to power it off.
It’s not letting me turn off the phone without unlocking the screen.
Let’s try to force restart our Stylo 5.
To force restart Stylo 5, we need to press & hold the power & volume down keys until the phone restarts.
During the restart, when LG Stylo 5 shows up, release the power key for a moment and hold it again (Do not leave the volume down key).
Now, keep holding both the buttons until your Stylo 5 reaches the Recovery Mode (Factory Data Reset screen).
We are now in recovery mode. It’s used the recover the phone by doing a factory data reset.
Go down from “No(Exit)” to “Yes” by pressing the volume down button. Now, hit the power key once.
Repeat the above steps.
Move down from No to Yes and click the Power key to reset your Stylo 5.
This process will take a few minutes.
After the reset, I’ve landed on the “Welcome” screen.
Tap the forward button to move ahead.
Click “Next” on the “New Second Screen” page.
To proceed further, we need to connect our phone to the internet using Wifi or Mobile data.
It’s checking for updates. Let’s wait for a while.
On the following page, choose “Don’t copy” to proceed.
Now, I’ve reached the screen lock verification page. It’s asking to verify the screen lock password. I don’t remember the password.
Let’s choose another option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
This time we are on the Google verification page. To claim the ownership of the device you need to verify with the previously synced Google account.
Sign in with your Google account and follow the on-screen prompts to reach the Stylo 5 home screen.
In case, you don’t remember the Google account credentials, then follow the below hack to bypass Google verification –

Now, click the “small keyboard icon” located at the bottom-right corner.
A small “Default keyboard” window appears on the screen. Select “Settings”.
Now, we are on the “Manage keyboards” screen.
Select “Gboard” as shown above.
We have reached the Gboard settings page.
Tap the “3 dots icon” and choose “Help & Feedback”.
This brings me to the “Support” page.
Select the first option – “Delete or disable apps on Android”.
On the following page, look for the phrase – “Tap to go to Application Settings” & touch this option.
Now, it brings us to the “App Info” page.
Scroll down and click “Settings”.
On the next page, tap “Open” to open the Settings app.
In Settings, choose “Fingerprints” and then hit “Next”.
This takes us to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We are going to use this screen to add a new screen lock. It can be a PIN, Pattern, or Password.
I’ve opted for the PIN option. Let’s set up an easy-to-remember PIN 1234
Type the PIN two times and click “OK”.
We have successfully changed the screen lock.
Now, let’s go back & use this new PIN to bypass the screen lock verification.
Keep going back using the back button.
We have reached the “Welcome” page.
Tap the “forward button” and hit “Next on the following screen.
Choose “Don’t copy” to skip the “Copy apps & data” page.
Now, we are on the screen lock verification page.
Enter the PIN we added in the previous step 1234 and tap “OK”.
The PIN verification was successful. We have bypassed the Google verification.
There is a new “Skip” option on the Google sign-in page.
Let’s skip the Google account setup as of now.
Accept the Google services terms and conditions in the next step.
Hit “OK” on the “Review Additional Apps” screen.
Finally, tick the “I agree” checkboxes and tap ‘DONE” to complete the setup wizard.
We have successfully landed on the LG Stylo 5 home screen thus bypassing the lock screen.
