This FRP bypass method works on LG Stylo 4 & 5 running on Android 8 or 9. If your Stylo 5 is updated to Android 10, please follow the below link –
After the recent security update, the old FRP bypass method no longer works on Stylo 5.
During the bypass, when you add a new screen lock, you don’t get the screen lock verification page to verify the lock screen. We’re directly taken to the Google verification screen.
Let’s see how to fix this issue as per the below troubleshooting guide –
After doing a factory data reset using the volume down & power keys on my Stylo 5, I’ve landed on the “Welcome” screen.
Let’s tap the forward button to proceed.
Now, connect your phone to a Wifi network.
After getting connected to the internet, it’s checking for updates.
After a while, I’ve reached the “Copy apps & data” screen.
Let’s choose “Don’t copy” to proceed.
Now, I’ve reached the PIN verification page. I don’t remember the lock screen PIN. I’ll pick the alternate option – “USE MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT INSTEAD”.
It brings me to Google’s “Verify your Account” page. To get past this screen, we need to sign in with the previously synced Google account.
Let’s use the latest 2021 hack to bypass the Google account on LG Stylo 4/5 without a computer –
How to bypass Google verification on LG Stylo 5 & 4 2021 Android 8 & 9 without computer
To bypass the lock screen, we need a locked SIM. I’m using another LG phone and MetroPCS SIM for this purpose.
If using an LG phone, Go to Settings > General > Lock Screen & Security
Now, choose “Set up SIM card lock” > “Lock SIM Card”.
The default MetroPCS SIM PIN is 1234
We have successfully enabled the SIM lock. Now, we are going to insert this locked SIM in Stylo 4/5.
You can get the SIM PIN code for your carrier from Google.
The Cricket SIM Card default PIN is 1111
Use a SIM ejector tool to remove the Stylo 5 SIM tray. Now place the locked SIM in its respective slot.
Check your phone screen, it’s asking for the SIM PIN.
Enter code 1234 and hit the tick icon.
Now, there is a “Not signed in” notification on the screen.
Swipe down the screen starting from the “Not signed in” notification towards the bottom of the screen. You can follow the arrow in the above screenshot.
A few quick access icons appear on the top. Long-press the “Bluetooth icon”.
Now, turn on Bluetooth and get a Bluetooth headset or Earbud.
I’m using PTron Bassbuds Urban Earbuds.
Pair your Bluetooth Headset/Earbud as shown above.
Once the Bluetooth device is paired, press the call button/touch area for 3 seconds and release.
This will launch the Google assistant on your Stylo 5.
Say the term “Email” in your Stylo 5 microphone.
A “G Search” option appears at the bottom-right corner. Tap on it.
Now, erase the term “Email” from the search bar as shown above.
Type email once again, and choose the last option from the search result dropdown i.e. “Email with the app icon”.
This will bring us to the “Email app”.
Choose the email provider as “Microsoft Exchange”.
Enter any Email ID in the “Email Address” field.
Select “Manual Setup” to reach the “Server Settings” page.
Now, scroll down on this page and click the “Add” option in front of “Client Certificate”.
An attention pop-up appears on the screen. Choose “CHANGE” to proceed.
Now, it brings us to the “Select Screen Lock” page.
We are going to add a new screen lock using this page. You can set up a new PIN, Pattern, or Password.
I’ve chosen the “Pattern” option.
Choose “No, thanks” on the “Secure start-up” page and click “NEXT”.
Now draw the pattern on the next screen. I’m setting up an easy pattern L.
Re-enter the pattern and click “CONFIRM”.
The screen lock has been changed.
Let’s go back and use this new Pattern to bypass Google verification.
Use the back button to reach the “Welcome” screen.
Click the forward arrow to proceed.
Tap “Don’t copy” on the following page.
Instead of the screen lock verification page, it brings me directly to the “Verify your account” screen.
To restore the Pattern verification page, we need to factory reset the phone using the volume down & power keys.
Let’s turn off our LG Stylo 5. Long-press the power button and tap “Power off”.
Wait for the phone to power off.
To enter the recovery mode, press the volume down + power button.
During the boot-up when “LG Stylo 5” appears on the screen, release the power key and hold it again. Don’t leave the volume down button.
Now, keep holding both the keys until you reach the “Factory data reset” screen.
We are now in recovery mode.
Go down from “No (Exit)” to “Yes” with the volume down key and then press the power button once.
Again move down from “No” to “Yes” and click the Power key to begin the reset.
The factory data reset will take a few minutes.
After a while, we have reached the “Enter PIN code” screen.
Enter the code 1234 and unlock the screen.
Now, click the forward button to move ahead.
Choose “Don’t copy” on the “Copy apps & data” screen.
This time we get the pattern lock verification screen.
Verify with Pattern L as shown above.
The Pattern verification was successful. We have bypassed the Google verification.
Use the “Skip” option to skip the Google account sign-in. We can add an account later.
Now, accept the Google services terms and conditions.
Tick the “I agree” checkboxes when you reach the “Legal Documents” screen and click “DONE”.
We have successfully landed on the LG Stylo 5 home screen thus bypassing the Google account.
